AirBnB: Sea Point
For this trip, I tried out this whole AirBnB thing everyone is talking about, in reality this was long overdue and I loved it. I was traveling with two friends on a production so we needed a lot of extra space for our gear, more space than a traditional hotel room for sleeping, and we wanted a common area where we could work on editing. I liked this hotel and thought the location was great and the recent redesign was nice. This is technically a 5 star hotel, but it didn't feel like one. The shower drain came out exposing the cavernous pipes, the shower itself leaked all over the bathroom floor, behind the curtains the wall paper was peeling off, and there was a massive scratch/burn/stain on the wood floor. I'm not one to complain to management about these things, but perhaps they would have upgraded us to something nicer had I brought these issues to someone's attention.
